EVANGELISTIC REPORT

PUERTO PLATA CHURCH OF CHRIST MISSION

For April -2009

God´s grace be with you forever.

April was a month with much blessings inside and out of the city.
During years, we have been working in our ten (10) working areas inside and outside the city. It´s traveling every weekend. Our workers from Puerto Plata Church of Christ have been doing a good job together at me about that. Several of these areas are at one hour and half from Puerto Plata, and others one at fifteen and thirty minutes. These areas are: Luperón , El Ranchito de Los Vargas, Altamira, Imbert, Montellano, Sosua, La Yagua of Gaspar Hernández, Los Sufridos district Puerto Plata, San Marcos district Puerto Plata, and the 27 of February street Church of Christ.In each area we have a small congragation. However, we have a new program in group of brethren to get the growth of them, which will be the following:

Every Tuesday, a group of brothers and sisters will be doing personal evangelism house to house in Puerto Plata, to the 27 of February street Church.

Every Thursday, we will be traveling to Belloso, La Isabela to form a new congregation there. We have a building and a lot there. It·s at one hour and half from Puerto Plata city. We will a meeting every Thursday night and on Friday morning, we will teach biblical class to some families, and after this we will back to Puerto Plata.

Every Saturday, we will work in one of our working areas, to make the personal evangelism house to house. It mean that each month we will be able to visit four areas. But also, every Saturday at night we will celebrate a meeting at 6:00-7:00 p.m. and after this we will back to Puerto Plata city. It will be a hard work, but it´s necessary to get the church´s growth.

To get that purpose, we need anough biblical pamphlets, that 0ur old vehicles be ready, much combustible, and food to our working teams, but we are sure that our God will help us. Thanks to God that Arecibo Church of Christ, Puerto Rico, donated a sound equipment to Puerto Plata Church of Christ and areas around, which be used in that program. It´s a great blessing and we appreciate the great love from that church to us. It·s our prayer that God bless that congregation, and all our supporters who together at us are preaching Christ·s Gospel in that part of the world. We have plan to begin that new program on July if is God´s willing.

THREE IMMERSED IN CHRIST IN PUERTO PLATA

1. On April 9-2009, José Vásquez was baptized. He is San Marcos Church of Christ·s member.
2. On April 12-2009, Amauris Vásquez was immersed in Christ. He is San Marcos Church of Christ´s member.
3. On April 28-2009, Pablo Vásquez was baptized. He is Los Sufridos Church of Christ´s member. Luis was who baptized all of them.

Brother Luis Álvarez together at several workers from San Marcos and los Sufridos districts are doing a good job there, and these baptisms are fruits of that work.

ENCAMPMENT (PICNIC) OF YOUNG PEOPLE

On April 8-10, a group of youngs celebrated an encampment for three days. It was in Muñoz district, Puerto Plata. It’s a nice place in a farm property of my uncle and brother in Christ José Humberto. Twenty seven (27) people from Imbert, and some from Puerto Plata were there. Brother Luis Álvarez who is the Imbert Church of Christ´s preacher, was the manager of that activity. That is just a part of the group who were in the picnic.

PUERTO PLATA CHURCH OF CHRIST YOUNG PEOPLE PROGRAM

God is bleesing very much our new youngs program. We got two class room at the school, which is side the Puerto Plata Church of Christ´s building. The manager of that school lent us these rooms free to be used for our youngs every Sunday morning. We have two groups of youngs, one of them has 18 teenegers of 12-16 years old, and other one since 17-25 years old. That group has 23 youngs. It mean that now we are working with 41 youngs. My oldest doughter Vanessa and my brother Juan Mercado are who are leading the teenagers program and sister Carmen Brito and the brother Eliezer García are leading the youngs program.

ABOUT THE CHILDREN CLASS

We have around 15 children, they have their class room, and their teacher is Elizabeth, Cabrera. She is doing agood job with them. That is just a part of the children´s group.

ABOUT THE WOMEN MEETINGS

Puerto Plata Church of Christ´s ladies are celebrating their meeting every Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. They are doing a good job in the Lord. My wife Jeannette is who is leading that program.

ABOUT THE EVANGELISTIC CONFERENCE IN PUERTO RICO.

Arecibo Church of Christ invited me for third time to preach an evangelistic campaign there .It was since 10-12 of April-2009. I traveled there on April 7 and I will back home on April 20-2009.They make that enangelistic activitic every year.

NACIONAL CONFERENCE IN PONCE CITY.

On April 10, brother Jaime Gullette who is the Arecibo Church of Christ´s preacher, other brethren and I, traveled to Ponce city to participate in a national Conference of the Church of Christ in Puerto Rico. Many brothers, sisters and preachers fom seveal congregations were there. It was great and we enjoyed very much about that.. There were five dominican brothers who came from several congregations. It was nice to me. The Ponce Church of Christ·s preacher is brother Lugo. He is a good brother.

PERSONAL EVANGELISM INSIDE AND OUTSIDE ARECIBO.

Every day brother Jaime and I made a good job doing personal evangelism house to house. It was very important, because we had the opportunity to advise and to preach the gospel to many christians and friends families. But we traveled to other nice place outside Arecibo to visist the brethren from there, were brother Jaime help too. It·s in Barceloneta.

EVANGELISTIC CONFERENCE IN ARECIBO CHURCH OF CHRIST.

On April 10-2009, we began the conference, and the general subject was the world crisis. We chose three subjets to preach one every night. The first was: the economic crisis, the second was: the social crisis and the third was: the crisis in the families. Many visitors, brethren and preachers from several Church of Christ´s congregations from Puerto Rico were with us in these conferences every night.

On April 12, a lady was baptized. Her name is Lucy, she is a good sister and also there are other people who are receiving biblical class to be baptized. That congregation is growing little by little. that area is very hard, however, brother Jaime is good brother, a good worker and an excelent evangelist to God·s glory. And also he has a team of leaders, who are making a good job together at him in Arecibo. They are: brothers Alvaro, Olvin Henrry, and others brothers and sistes, who are good workers in the in the Lord.

I apreciate the great love from all my brethren and friends from Arecibo Church of Christ to me, and also to my family and also to Puerto Plata Church of Christ. They are very friendlies, and I enjoyed very much together at them.

CONFERENCE IN GURABO CHURCH OF CHRIST.

On April 17-19-2009, I had the hnour to preached in Gurabo Church of Christ. It was great. All the brethren from there are very friendlies and they recived me with much love in the Lord. Brothers Felix Roldan, Abraham Carrión, and Yuri Feliz, are the preachers in that congregation, but there are other líders who form part of that working team. Brother Yuri is dominican, and he is a Baxter Institutes graduated like me. Brother Roldan has been traveling for more of twenty times to preach to Dominican Republic.

I stayed for three days in the family Carrión home, and I´m very grateful with the brother Carrión and his wife, for their great love in the Lord. And also I apreciate the love from all the brethren from Gurabo Church of Christ.

ABOUT THE NATIONAL PREACHERS MEETING IN SANTO DOMINGO, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC.

On April 25-2009, we celebrated a big preachers meeting in Santo Dmingo.The Church of Christ in Dominican Republic has around 145 congregations and in that meeting were 83 preachers together. It was great. We have plan to celebrate National Preachers Meeting for three days with the purpose to study the Bible together, and we help each other to work like a team in the Lord. In that meeting we were talking about the several subjects. The assembly chose a committee to organize that preachers brotherhood. I was chosen as one of the members of that committee. In that national assembly a preacher said the fallowing: “I don´t understand, why the national preacher assembly, alway choose to the brother Lucrecio to work and service in several committee? Because he is working in four (4) committee and I consider that it´s much work for him, and also we must give opportunity to other brothers, who are so competent like my brother Lucrecio.” I think that brother Ozuna is right, however, to God·s glory, it mean the national assembly love me and appreciate my work in the Lord. On May 30-2009, we will celebrate other meeting like that.
