Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
We have been working hard in the Lord, and He is blessing our mission in Puerto Plata and areas around.
The workers, who are leading nine (9) small congregations under my supervision inside and outside the Puerto Plata city, go ahead serving to the Lord. But we made a change in San Marcos church of Christ’s congregation. Our brother Javier Rosario who stayed for several years leading that congregation together at other workers, now he isn`t able spiritualy to continue as preacher there, therefore, that congregation elected the brother Leoncio de la Cruz (Roberto) as her new preacher. He is a good brother, who has been serving there for several years as member of the working team there. All these workers and leaders come from Puerto Plata church, and some of them are helping me in Puerto Plata church of Christ’s meetings. Puerto Plata church of Christ is like the mother of these nine (9) small congregations.
VISITORS
On April, we have the honour to have with us the brother Besias Desil, who is from Haiti, and who several years ago served together at us in Puerto Plata for a long time. He is a Baxter Institute`s graduated in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, C.A. He was one of the best students there. Several years ago he was preaching in Guatemala, and now, he is working in Cartagena, Colombia, as member of a working team together at brother Sebastian and family who are from Santo Domingo, and other brother from Panamá. They are doing a good job there. In this moment after the meeting, I’m guiving present to brother Desil, and also, I’m giving other one to brother Victor Martinez .
On June, brothers Richard Mercado my cousin, and George and families together at several relatives, were with us in Puerto Plata. All of them are the Sunset Church of Christ’s members in Miami Fl. Brothers Richard and George were teaching us new songs, and we enjoyed very much about that. They are directors of songs in Sunset Church, and they are doing a good job with the young people there.
On June, brother Rafael Aquiles Sanchez and family were with us in Puerto Plata. Brother Sanchez preached to apuerto Plata church of Christ’s congregation on June 14-2009. Brother Sanchez is living in New York, and he had made a good job to the church of Christ in dominican Republic. He was preacher of the church of Christ in New York for several years.

Flor de María Feliz: June 14-2009, Puerto Plata Church, but she is living in Barahona city. The brethren from there are helping her. She is the brother Richard Feliz’s mother. Brother Rafael Sanches who preached that Sunday, he was with us there. He is the last at the left.
NATIONAL CHURCH OF CHRIST PREACHERS MEETINGS IN THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
On May 30-2009, we celebrated a big national preachers meeting in Ozama Church of Christ building, Santo Domingo. In that national assembly it was elected the new committee to represent the Church of Christ’s congregations in the Dominican Republic, in front of Dominican State, under the decree No.1771 of October of the 1967, official Gazette No. 9059.
Brothers Alexis Peña, El Ensanche Altagracia church of Christ’s preacher, Santo Domingo, Roberto Almonte, District Duarte de Herrera church of Christ’s preacher, Santo Domingo, Daniel de la Cruz, Ensanche Spaillat church of Christ’s preacher, Santo Domingo, Tomás Ramirez, Los Mameyes church of Christ’s preacher, Santo Domingo, and Lucrecio Mercado Hernández, Puerto Plata church of Christ’s preacher, were elected four (4) years ago. In that Nacional Assembly, where participated several candidates by the secret vote, and after we to pray to God, the Assembly cursed the votes all the members of that committee were reelected by a mayority vote ( in whole.) It was great.We appreciate God’s love, and confidence that the National Assembly has deposited over us. With God’s willing, we go ahead working very much about that in the Lord.
I was elect as one of the members of the committee, which will be organizing the national Church of Christ preachers meetings every year. It will be a special and important meeting to the church of Christ in the Dominican Republic. And also I was chosen for the committee who represent the Church of Christ in front of Dominican state, to represent and to speak in name of the Church of Christ in the Congress of the Republic, about important subjets as the fallowing: miscarriage, marriage and concordat between the catholic church and the Dominican State.

On July 11-2009, I participated in a preachers meeting in Santo Domingo and on August 22-2009, I participated in other one in Santiago city.
INVITATIONS AS SPEAKER TO PREACH IN FOUR (4) EVANGELISTIC CAMPAIGN INSIDE AND OUTSIDE PUERTO PLATA CITY.
To God’s glory, I was invited as speaker to preach in four (4) evangelistic campaigns. They were the fallowing:
On July 17-2009, I preached in the district La Piña Church of Christ, in Santiago city. Many people listened the God’s word. Brothers Rosado, Nelson and Radhames Duarte are the Cienfuego church of Christ preachers, and they were who for God’s mercy formed that new congregation in la Piña, Santiago.
On July 31-2009, I preached in Lava Pies, San Cristobal Church of Christ, many people there listened the Christ’s gospel.
The preacher there is Alfonso Silverio, who together at his mother are Puerto Plata chuech of Christ members. His wife is from San Cristobal, and now they are living there. He is doing a good job there, together at a working team.
On August 16-2009 I preached in the Manolo Tavarez Justo Avenue Church of Christ, Puerto Plata. The members of that congregation are haitians, and they have a Institute to training haitians preachers. The preacher there is brother Joseph Gélimard.
On August 29-2009 I participated as speaker in the last evangelistic campaign in Bellas Colinas de Mano Guayabo Church of Christ Santo Dmingo.
Many people and brethren were there listening the God’s word, and when I finished the sermon, seven (7) people received to Christ as their saviour. It was great.
On Agust 30-2009, I preached in the District Duarte de Herrera church of Christ, Santo Domingo. It was in the sunday morning worship. After that, I came back home.. It was a great experience in the Lord.
A HOLIDAY IN THE COUNTRYSIDE.
On June 11-2009, many brethen from Puerto Plata spend one day in the countryside near of Imbert. In that activity two people were immersed in Christ. It was in a river from there. They are: Rumilda Liriano and Federico Espinal. They are from San Marcos church of Christ. That day at night, we celebrated a vigil (a large meeting) in Puerto Plata Church Building. Brother Luis E. Alvarez Pérez was who led these activities together at the others planning committee members and me.
A SISTER DIED IN IMBERT.
On July, sister Silvia Vargas slept in the Lord. She was member of Imbert Church of Christ for several years. A group of brethren from Puerto Plata travaled there to bury her. In that opportunity, we preached the gospel to many people. She was sick of cancer for several years. Brother Luis Alvares is the preacher there. In Puerto Plata we have a sister and a brother who are very sick of cancer too. They are: Ervira Ureña and José Antonio Osoria. Please remember them in yours prayers.
GREAT YOUNG PEOPLE ACTIVITIES MADE IN PUERTO PLATA CITY.
On July 31 until August 2-2009, forty two (43) young people from Gazcue church of Christ, five (5) from Los Mina, and two (2) from Ozama, Santo Doming, came to Puerto Plata to celebrate several several activities together at (38) young people of Puerto Plata. My wife Jeannette, my daugthers Vanessa and Jeannelly, and sister Carmen Brito, brother Juan Mercado and others one, worked very hard moving around eighty seven (87) people to Playa Dorada Resort, to the mountain Isabel de Torres by the cable car, and also giving them everything about hospitality. But thanks to God it was a great blessing to our young people. On July 31, a group of them stayed in the sister Carmen and Pablo perez’s house and the others one in my family’s house. Next days they stayed at the Hotel from Playa Dorada, were sister Carmen has been work for several years. She made a good job about these activities.
ABOUT OUR PLAN TO BEGIN A NEW EVANGELISTIC PROGRAM INSIDE AND OUTSIDE THE CITY, LAST JULY- 2009.
Beacuse, Puerto Plata Church of Christ conference room was able to receive around one hundred people, and every sunday morning it was full in our worships, the Puerto Plata church’s planing committee and I, took the decision to wait two or three more months to begin that new program, and to use that time to extend and repair the Puerto Plata church of Christ conference room.
ENLARGEMENT AND REPAIR THE PUERTO PLATA CHURCH OF CHRIST CONFERENCE ROOM.
As you know, we have plan to build a big building with a second floor to Puerto Plata church of Christ, which be able to receive three hundred and fifty (350) people in the conference room, but for cause of the world crisis, we consider that in this moment the churches of Christ in the United States and the Dominican State, are not able to build that building, which will has a cost around twelve millions of dominican pesos. We are thinking at the present time to get to grow today to be able to harvest tomorrow. If is God’s willing, that building will be built in the fucture. As we had a small construction fund, we spoke about that with some of our brethren, who have been helping us about that fund, therefore, we took the decision to enlarge and repair our conference room. Because that building is make of old wood, and we had to buy many materials, to pay to the carpenters and workers, we got to make that work around a 80%. Several brothers and sisters from hare helped economicly about that, and others one as workers, however, now we are short of money. But we hope to finish all that work little by little. Everybody here are very happy with that work.. Now, we have a conference room be able to receive around one hundred eighty five (185) people, and with God’s help we are going to work to get fill it. Now we must buy eight five (85) chairs, six fans, and a large curtain. Later, we will continue repairng the foor and the roof, and also we will build a bathroom, and two class rooms to the young people.
We built a office of block with a metal door, and two windows of glass.That office is almost ended.
Brother Eliezer García, who is a electric engineer, together at a group of his students were who made the new electric system. Brother Alberto Sanchez who is a painter, made a good job there, and others one are helping little by little.
Brother Luis Alvares and I have been leading, supervising and working hard every day about that and for one month and half. Now we took a brake until to get some money to go ahead with the repair. But now, we have a conference room twice bigger and better than before, thanks to God.
For finishing; I want to remember you the fallowing: “Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give you selves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that you labor in the Lord is not in vain”. 1Corinthians 15:58.
