ACTIVITIES MADE INSIDE AND OUTSIDE PUERTO PLATA CITY

ACTIVITIES FOR JANUARY, FEBRUARY AND MARCH.
Our workers of the 27 of february avenue Puerto Plata church of Christ, who are working together at me, and who are leading ten (10) congregations in Puerto Plata and areas around, are doing a good job in the Lord.
We stoped our work in Luperón for several months, but brother Carlos Matias who has been leading that congregation together at us there for several years, has been doing the work alone, however, next days we will be traveling again there, because the congregation from there requested us it.
In Puerto Plata, we are celebrating christian men meetings every Monday night, with the purpose to plan and to training to grow in the Lord step by step.
In this year, we have a new methodology to do the personal evangelism. Every last sunday of each month at night, we have a special meeting to visitors. For that activity each brother and sister have the mission to invite several friends to attendance in that meeting. We celebrated the first one, and around one hundred seven (107) visitors were there. The Puerto Plata Church’s building was full, and several people stayed on the yard. When I finished the sermon, ten people got to stand up to receive to Christ. It was great. And also we are celebrating a spiritual meeting at 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM. It’s every Saturday. It has being a great blessing. Our God has been using to brother Juan Mercado with thase good ideas. Here, we are a working team in the Lord and God is blesseing us verey much.
BIG CHRISTIAN LADIES´S MEETING IN PUERTO PLATA.
On January 21, we celebrated a great lady’s meeting with sisters from several cities of the north region of the country. Brother Carmelo Estrella who is the preacher of the Las Flores church of Christ, Puerto Plata, and his family were the principal hostess, but they requested us to celebrate that activity in the 27 of February street Church of Christ building. That conference room was full and many ladies stayed on the yard, but every thing was under control. Around three hundred fifty (350) ladies were there. It was great.
NATIONAL CONFERENCE - 2010, SAN PEDRO DE MACORIS CITY.
On February 27, we celebrated the national conference of the Church of Christ from the Dominican Republic. Around four thousand three hundred (4,300) people were there. The preachers and the congregations from San Pedro de Macorís organized a good program, and the brothers and sisters from there as hostess worked very hard and thanks to God every body enjoyed very much about that activity. Brothers Teodoro Castañeda from Texas, and Santos Feliz from Barahona, Dominican Republic, were the speakers. They made a good job. Around twenty (20) people were immersed in Christ. Puerto Plata Church of Christ and areas around traveled there by two big autobús. Brother castañeda came from Texas to Domonican Republic together Armando Artiga who came with his two daughters and other brother. They visited to Haiti to carry economic help there. As you know, every year the national church of Christ has a construction building fund to help a congregation that has not building. In that opportunity, we got to have a fund of two hundred eighty thousand ($280,000.00) dominican pesos, and a small congregation from Cotuí city was the beneficiary about that. Next national conference to 2011, will be celebrated in Barahona city with God’s willing. It’s around at eight (8) hours from Puerto Plata. It´s to the south of the country.
TRIPS TO SANTO DOMINGO AND SANTIAGO CITIES.
I traveled to Santo Domingo to participate in an assembly of preachers, and also I went to Santiago city to preach in the Cien Fuegos Church of Christ.
ACTIVITY MADE IN IMBERT.
A group of brethren from Puerto Plata and I traveled to Imbert, to participate together at the brethren from there about a vigil at night (meeting of three hours). It was great.
YOUNG PEOPLE ACTIVITY.
On March, Gazcue Church of Christ, Santo Domingo, celebrated a young people activity for three days. It was in a center to conference in La Vega city. Around two hundred (200) youngs were there, including my daughters and several youngs from Puerto Plata. Fifteen (15) youngs were immersed in Christ. It was wonderful, because they made a special program for the young people there.
ABOUT THE YOUNG PEOPLE PROGRAM IN PUERTO PLATA CHURCH OF CHRIST.
The young people progam is being a good blessing. Every day many visitors are coming to the meetings, and some of them have been immersed in Christ. They are two groups: One of them of 11-16, and the other one of 16 – 23 years old. Elieser Garcia, Carmen Brito, Juan Mercado, and Bethania are leading them.
BOUT THE CHILDREN PROGRAM.
The group of children is growing every day. Two sisters are leading them.
LUCRECIO MERCADO´S BIRTHDAY.
I was born on March 15-1957, therefore, last March 15- 2010 I celebrated my 53 years old. But the people say that I look like a young of 45 years old. What do you think about that? I am very grateful with Him for his great love and mercy to me.
ABOUT THE RADIO PROGRAM.
Now, Radio Puerto Plata station P.M. is ready and better than before, with a new tecnology by computer. we began again our radio program around two months and half ago. Now we have one hour every Sunday morning at 7:00-8:00 A.M. Brother Marcos Mercado and I are leading that radio program, and Puerto Plata church is supporting it. Many people are listening us in many part of the world, through internet by the Web page: www.radiopuertoplata900.com

ABOUT THE TRIPS TO HAITI TO CARRY HELP THERE.
About the Situation of our brethren and people in Haiti for cause of that strong earthquake and others one, we have been praying very much about that, and also we are very grateful with God, because we received much economic help for haitian people from Dominican Republic church of Christ, and from several Church of Christ´s congregations from United States. All the economic help were deposited in a bank acount of the Church of Christ in Santo Domingo. A committee of preachers are leading the trips to Haiti and preparing each truck full of food, provisions and so on. And also Some preachers who received economic help from their supporters from United States traveled there to do that love´s work.
We considered that it was not right to carry everything in one trip.Therefore, we organized each trip from time to time.That committee has made six (6) trips there and we will be doing the last trip next month with God´s willing. I will be traveling there together at a group of preachers with God’s willing. When we come back home from Haiti, we let you know about that. Please remember us in yours prayers.
