EVANGELISTIC ACTIVITIES MADE IN PUERTO PLATA AND OUTSIDE THE CITY, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC.

For July, August, September, October, November and December 2010.

Grace, love and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

ONE OF MY BIGEST EXPERIENCE IN THE LORD (TESTIMONY TO GOD’S GLORY AND OUR BLESSING)

In the last week of July and the first week of August, I was walking through the valley of the shadow of death, however, I didn’t fear no evil, because I was sure that my Lord was with me. I was very sick about the Pneumonia, and of the Hemorrhagic affectation (melindre) and my blood plantelets decended (go down) to eight thousand (8,000.00) when they must be of 150,000.00 to 400,000.00. But I put my faith in God, and the church in Dominican Repúblic, The United States and others countries were praying very much for me, and God had mercy of me. He was gloriefied Himself on my weakness. Many preachers and brethren from Santo Domingo and other cities of the country, came to see me at the Hospital (private clinic) La Unión Médica, Santiago city, and others one came to visit me in my home. My family, the brethren from Puerto Plata church of Christ, friends, relatives, and my wife`s relatives, and also several religious institutions from Puerto Plata were worry and praying very much for me. I want to tell you that many church of Christ`s congregations from Santiago city, made a good job helping me about that, specialy the brethren from the Center`s church of Christ, where there is a team of preachers, two from Ninargua, and two dominicans. Brother José Alvarez from Nicaragua, who is one of the peachers there, and the sister Reyna Martinez (Lili) who is member of that congregation, were used for God to make a good job to help me. It was the following: As me was needing urgently blood platelets, several brothers from Puerto Plata and Santiago came at the Unión Médica to give me of their blood plantelets, but when they were tested, they weren’t able to do it, therefore, they coulden´t help me about that, but God had his plan. As sister Lili has many years working with José Gutierrez, who has two important programs by radio and TV, when she knew about my situation, she put an announcement requeting urgently blood platelet A+ to me, and a young people who was sixteen (16) years old, listened that announcement, he got comunicate with brother José Alvarez, and both of them came to me, and when he was tested, he was ready % x % to give me 500cc of his blood platelets. But as he was a under age, he called his mother and she with much love took a taxi and arrived there to sign for him. It was a present from them to help me. As the hemorrhagic affectation (melindre) stay around seven days attaking, these blood platelets that I received, they help me to complete the time that me was needing, and one day later, my blood platelets began to go up. Can you to see the love and God´s

hand there? In these days many people dead for cause of that illness. But I’am here today alive for God’s mercy. The church of Christ in Dominican Repúblic, specialy Puerto Plata church, my family, relatives and I glorified to our God, and we appreciate the great love from Him and from our brothers, sisters, relatives and friends, who were so generous and solidarys with me. I appreciate the great love from the brethren and preachers from Cien Fuegos Church of Christ, Santiago city, specialy of the brother Rafael Rosado one of the preachers there, and who is a school teacher, who stayed full time during six days at the hospital side me and helping to my wife and taking care about me. Now I feel like a new man in the Lord, and with more determination to go ahead working hard in the Lord.

ABOUT OUR WORKING AREAS

As you know, in Puerto Plata I have a working team, who help me in Puerto Plata and who are leading the nine (9) church of Christ’s congregations inside and outside the city. Our workers in the Lord and our working areas are:

1) Luis Alvarez Perez is leading the Imbert and El Ranchito church of christ’s congregations, and also he is helping in San Marcos and Los Sufridos congregations. Brother Luis is also the Puerto Plata church of Christ’s treasurer.

2) Felipe Payan is leading Los Sufridos church of Christ, and also he is helping in San Marcos.

3) Leoncio de la Cruz, is leading the San Marcos church of Christ.

4) Alberto Sanchez is leading the Sosua church of Christ.

5) Richard Feliz is leading the Montellano and la Yagua, Gaspar Hernández congregations.

6) Daniel Sanchez is leading the Luperón church of Christ. He also preach by radio from time to time.

7) Pedro Tejada is leading the Altamira church of Christ. There are other brothers, who also form part of the working teams and also they are participating in our meetings and worships.

I am the Puerto Puerto Plata church of Christ’s preacher and supervisor of each working areas, and also I am visiting and traveling to these working areas together at them from time to time. Several of these places are at fifteen, and thirty minutes, and others one are at one hour, one and half, and two hours from Puerto Plata city.

Brothers Marcos Mercado and Joel Espinal are working with me at the Radio Program.

Brothers Eliezer Garcia, Juan Mercado, Carmen Brito and Betania are leading the young people programs.

My wife Jeannette is leading the ladies’s program, and sisters Nuris and Nazaret are leadind the children’s program.

ABOUT MY PARTICIPATION WITH THE NATIONAL CHURCH OF CHRIST

From time to time we celebrate national preachers meetings in Santo Domingo. In these meetings, we help to solve difficults, we make plans, we preparate programs and we choose working committees, to organize these national works. To God’s glory, I’m working in six (6) working committees chosen for the national assambly. They are the following:

1) Committee to organize the national conference of the church every year.

2) To organize the construction plan every year in the national conference. This is that every church of christ’s congregation from all the country, give a economic help to have a fund to help to build a church of christ building to a congregation, who be needing it. It can be in whatever place of the country. For example: we choose a group of these congregations, and we pray and we cast lots to choose one of them. (Acts 1:26). It has been a great blessing.

3) To organize the national preachers conference every year.

4) To work about the construction plan to build a national church of christ encampment, to celebrate activities. We have a big lot in Monte Plata city, were we have plan to build that construction in the future with God’s willing.

5) I’m member of the commeettee, who represent the national church of Christ in front of the dominican State, with one decree law of the Executve Power. ( No. 1771, Gaceta Oficial 9059, R.N.C. 4-30-03645-5) But there are several church of Christ’s congregations, who have their individual decrees law. However, when they need our help to try anything in front the Dominican State, for example: freeing (Exoneration of taxes) to bring vehícles and so on from the United States. Sometimes they can’t get it for themselves, then they request of our service about that, and we help them.

6) Member of the committee to organize the nationals and internationals economic help to help to Haiti, about the Earthquaque.

Next Saturday 8- 2011, I will be traveling to Santo Domingo to participate about the next committee meeting to continue organizing the National Conference of the church of Christ in February 26-2011. At first, our plan was celebrate it in Barahona city, but the building where we had plan to do it, is being repaired and it will not be ready to that date, we took the decision to celebrate it in Santo Domingo with God’s mercy. On November 12-14-2010, we organized and celebrated the first national preachers conference. It were great. We enjoyed very much about that. Thirty two (32) preachers were there. Several preachers coulden’t participate about that, because they were sicks, others of them, because they had not money, and others one, because they diden’t want to participate, therefore they lost that great blessing. With God’s willing, next years the group of preachers will be bigger than before, because the evangelists and workers and their wives will can participate about that. Several years ago, a group of preachers and I had that idea and plan, because we are sure in the Lord that this strengthens the unity of the national church of christ in the Dominican Repúblic.

In a national preachers conference celebrated at the Quisqueya church of Christ building, Santo Domingo, four (4) themes and four (4) speakers were chosen for the national preachers conference. They were the followig:

1) Lucrecio Mercado Hernández, Puerto Plata church of Christ’s minister, to the first conference with the them: “Responsability of the minister with the church”.

2) Federico Martinez, Ozama church of Christ’s preacher, Santo Domingo, with the second conference with the them: “Responsability of the minister with his family”

3) Santos Felix Ruiz, Barahona church of Christ’s preacher, whith the third conference with the theme: “Responsability of the minister with himselfe.”

4) Roberto Almonte, Las Palmas de Herrera church of Christ’s minister with the fourth conference with the theme: “Responsability of the minister about the planning and administration in the church.” Other preachers as brother Pascual Perez, Andres Bravo and others one, working about other important activities in that activitiy. It was a great blessing to us in Christ’s love.

On February 19-2011, I will be preaching in a evangelistic campaign in the Los Arcarrizos church of Christ, Santo Doningo. It will be with God’s willing.

PUERTO PLATA CHURCH OF CHRIST’S BUILDING REPAIRING

We did a good repair on the church building floor, we boutght four (4) fans KDK, we bought two metal doors, and we built a roadway on the yard to go at the bathroom and so on. We received a economic help from the Dominican State to repair that floor, of a mount of RD $40,000.00 pesos, a group of brethren from Puerto Plata church bought the fans, from the puerto Plata church’s offering we bought the metal doors and build the roadway. When we be ready economicly, we will make the last building extension of the conference room, the next floor’s repair, and we will build two bathrooms, one for ladies and others one for men, and also we will build a baptistry.

TWO WEDDINGS IN PUERTO PLATA CITY

On August 21-2010, brother Franklin Payan and the sister Gina Catherine Cordero Toribio get married.

On November 20-2010, brother José Augusto Hernández and the sister Sonia Mateo Garcia get married.

PRESENTS FOR FIVE HUNDRED (500) POOR CHILDREN IN PUERTO PLATA AND AREAS AROUND.

On Novenber 9-10-2010, we gave presents around 500 poor children. It was in two schools in Puerto Plata, two schools in a countryside called Gurabito de Yaroa, Yásica, and at the Puerto Plata church’s children. It is at one hour and forty five minutes from Puerto Plata. Ana Fernández, who is leader of the church: “prayer’s house to all the countries,” in New Yersey, is traveling to Puerto Plata every years to give presents and to get to do many happy children. She, that church in New Yersey, and her relatives in Puerto Plata, choose the Puerto Plata church of Christ every year, to make that love’s work together at them in that part of the world. We appreciate it and we are very happy and grateful with our God for let us to participate about that great blessing. This year we made a good job about that, to God’s glory.

TWO BROTHERS DIED IN PUERTO PLATA

On August 11-2010, brother Ezequiel de Jesús Tejada Reyes died drowened in the beach, in Maimón, Puerto Plata. We celebrated a big meeting there, and we preached the gospel to many people there. His parents and sister are the Puerto Plata church of Christ’s members.

On December 30-2010, brother Manuel Mirabel slept in the Lord. He was eighty one yeas old. He was immersed in Christ around two years ago. He was my wife’s uncle. He was sick about a cancer in his gut. He stayed for several days at the Hospital, and we took care of him, special my wife, who slept side him for several nights seated on a chair.

On December 31-2010, we celebrated a big meeting in Puerto Plata church of Christ building. It was great. Many brethren and visitors were there and we enjoyed very much about that. It was at 8:00-PM until 12:00 M. Brother Marcos Mercado was the speaker and I was the ceremony’s master. The church’s children and the young people made a good job in that activity.
