ACTIVITIES IN THE CITY AND AREAS AROUND

For Janury until March 2009

Christ´s love be with you forever.

God is blessing our work in our ten (10) congregations inside and outside Puerto Plata city.
Every week we are traveling and visiting to all our working areas and our brethren are well in the Lord.
Puerto Plata Church of Christ conference room is being full, specialy every Sunday morning. When we finish the first part (worship) after that, we have four classes, the children class, the teenagers class, the young people class, and the adults class. A team of two sisters and two men are leading that new program. Iam the supervisor.

GRADUATION IN PUERTO PLATA CHURCH OF CHRIST

Twelve (12) people were graduated in Puerto Plata Church of Christ.
The curse was: What the Bible says? It began on August 2008 and finished on March 5-2009. Brother Victor Martínez was the teacher about that, we celebrated a nice ceremony on March 22-2009.


NATIONAL CONFERENCE – SAN CRISTOBAL CITY-2009.

This National Christian Conference has been the bigest celebrated in our country. It was great. There were more of five thousand (5000) people. But many brethren from all the country coulden´t be there for different reasons.

Puerto Plata Church of Christ rented two (2) big autobus, and one hundred and ten (110) brethren and some visitors traveled there.

Eighteen (18) people got stand up in front to the assembly, and they took the decision to recive to Christ to be immersed in Him next days.

It was nice to meet the brother and sister Trevis and Charlene Aven of sulphur springs. They are very friendly.

In that conference we invited to several goverments officials and they were with us there. I was who received them and also I led the protocol about them. They spok to the assembly. They were very happy together at us and also we were very happy together at them. It was a honour for us. The Avens were sit together at them in a special place.

Next National Christian conference 2010 will be celebrated in San Pedro of Macoris city, with God´s willing.

I was invited again to preach an evangelistic campaign in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. With God`s help, I will be preaching three days of evangelistic campaign (10,11,21 of April) and also I will be teaching for several days in Arecibo and Gurabo chursh of Christ. I will be traveling there on April 7 and I will back home on April 20-2009. Please to pray for us.

A team of brothers from Puerto Plata will be leading all the Puerto Plata Church of Christ´s works, inside and outside the city, while I be out.

BAD NEWS –ACCIDENT


On March 1-2009, one of our workers in the Lord had an accident. Eliezer García, who is an electric engineer, member of Puerto Plata Church of Christ together at his mother and also his wife. He is member of the working team who is leading Luperón Church of Christ. He had a big accident after he finished the worship there. When he was coming back from Luperón to Puerto Plata, a man who was drug addict, and also who during several months was runing to high speed by a motorcycle and the people from Luperón were very worried about that. He had conflict with the police man, however, in that moment he was free.

When brother Eliezer was coming to Puerto Plata on the Avenue between Luperón and Imbert, that man came to high speed and ran collided with the jeep of brother Eliezer. The motocycle was destroyed, the jeep has much damages, Eliezer is okay, but the man dead while was carried at the hospital from Luperón. We so sorry.

In that opportunity brother Eliezer´s wife and his baby stayed at home, and Eliezer traveled there alone. It was good, because the ran was on that side.

We were together at brother Eliezer in all the judicial and the policial process and we got that he was free.

The man who died had his wife with three small children, and brother Eliezer was condemned to pay five thousand (500.000.00), but the security of his vehicle the 90% of that cost. However, because he had that accident in Puerto Plata Church of Christ mission, we must help him to repair that vehicle.
Brother Eliezer stayed several days very sad and worry, but now he is okay.
