AND DECEMBER-2011

PUERTO PLATA CHURCH OF CHRIST, INSIDE AND OUT OF THE CITY

DOMINICAN REPUBLIC.

ACTIVITIES IN PUERTO PLATA CITY.

The meetings of the children, young people, and adults go ahead and growing every day thanks to our God. Several working teams are leading them.

ABOUT THE CHILDREN MEETING (CHILDREN CLASS).

About our children´s meetings, they are very good. Sisters Nuriz, Nazaret, and Elizabeth are who are leading teaching them.

ABOUT THE YOUNG PEOPLE MEETING.

It´s great, and they have nice activities and they are working in the Lord. Brother Juan Mercado, Carmen Brito and others one are helping and leading them.

ABOUT THE LADIES MEETING.

They are having meetings every tursday to do plans and each christian lady is leading every meeting every week. They are doing a good job in the Lord visiting places, helping and visiting sicks people and so on. My wife Jeannette is coordinating them.

ABOUT THE PLANNING COMMITTEE.

We have a planning committee, which has meeting every Monday night. It´s at 7:00-9:00 pm. Each christian man is leading the Puerto Plata church meetings every week together at me, and also several of them are leading congregations insisde and outside the Puerto Plata city. (Nine congregations).

ABOUT OUR RADIO PROGRAM.

It´s a great blessing. A team of brothers and I are working about that. We are Marcos Mercado, Alberto Sanchez, Eliecer García and me. Our brother Joel Espinal Heredia, who is a young, is who is working in the controls. We have one hour every Sunday morning at 7:00-8:00 AM. And thanks to God, we have many listeners.

THREE (3) IMMERSED IN CHRIST AND NINE (9) WERE RECONCILIED IN HIM.

1) Sister Antigua Ciriaco: September 18-2011. She was living in Gran Parada, Puerto Plata.

2) María Vianela Pérez. Octubre 9-2011. She is friendly and a good sister.

3) Alberto Polanco: December 11-2011. He is from El Ranchito de los Vargas church of Christ. Brother Luis Alvarez, who is the preacher there baptized him.

ACTIVITIES OUTSIDE THE CITY.

As I´m member of four (4) working committees for the national church of Christ in Dominican Republic, I participated in one meeting in Moca city, two in Santiago city, three in Santo Domingo (capital) and two in San Cristobal city. We have made good jobs in the Lord there, however, as I´m one of the writers to prepere the programs, process, and plans, I was working very hard about that to God´s glory.

On January 21-2011, as I was sick about Sinusitis and in my throat, I sent four (4) workers from here to participate about a national preachers meeting in the Ozama church of Christ´s building, Santo Domingo. They were : Luis Alvarez, Daniel Sanchez, Roberto de La Cruz and González Payán. They inform me that it was great. Many Preachers from several cities from the country were there and they enjoyed very much about that. In that actitvity the preachers knew and studied several plans to the church of Christ in the country. It´s to help to many brethren in diference cities, who are needing preachers to lead them. And also we have plan to form the church of Christ in cities where isn´t it, as Bonao, Samaná and others cities. We began in Nagua city. A group of preachers and congregations are working about that, and little by little others one are going to be adding to that plan. They spoke about next national conference, which will be celebrated in La Vega city on february 27-2012. And also they were talking about the situation of the Lava Pies church of Christ in San Cristobal city, which has a problem of división (divergence), therefore, a preachers commissión of four (4) prechers from Santo Domingo, one from Barahona city and one from Puerto Plata citiy, have been working very much to help that congregation to solve her big problem. Please to pray about that purpose.

A SISTER AND A BROTHER SLEPT IN THE LORD, PUERTO PLATA CHURCH OF CHRIST.

Sister Antigua Ciriaco died on september 29-2011. She was sicks for several years about a cancer.

Brother Roberto López, who was a good brother, and who was the sister Marcia Carvajal´s husband, and who was the owner of a gymnasium in Puerto Plata, died on December 13-2011. He was hastied for a vehicle, and he stayed for three weeks at the Hospital in Santiago city. We were traveling there twice every week to help him and his family, and also the Puerto Plata church of Christ´s ladies were traveling every day two by two, to stay every night there to help to his wife and his oldest daughter to be able to sleep some nights. They made a good job. I´m so sorry, because when brother Roberto was getting to be better, a bad medical practice at the hospital damaged him and he died.

PREACHERS NATIONAL CONFERENCE.

On November 11,12,13-2011, We celebrated the second preachers national conference of the church of Christ in Dominican Republic. It was great. Seventy two people were there, including several ladies who are wives of some preachers. They (ladies) had their confrerence in other conference room and also they were together at us in some activities there. I was one of the organizing committee member, which organized that preachers conference. Brother Luis Alvarez is one of the new members of the committee, which will organize next preachers national conference 2012 with God´s willing.

WEDDING.

On november 21-2011, our oldest daughter Vanessa get married with brother Walvis Kunhardt Vásquez, who is a young lawyer. They are a nice caple. Brother Walvis, his mother and his stepgrandmother are Puerto Plata church of Christ´s members.

LAST MEETING FOR THE YEAR 2011.

On December 31-2011, We celebrated a meeting for two hours in puerto plata church of Christ building. It was a meeting of thanksgiving to our God about the year 2011, and to ask Him his blessing to us to the new year 2012.

PEOPLE IMMERSED IN CHRIST IN THE YEAR 2011.

On the year 2011, God helped us to baptize eighteen (18) people for God´mercy. In this year, We have plan to have a evangelistic campaign, which is good to preach the gospel to many people.

We are very grateful with our supporters, who are preaching the Christ´s gospel together at us in Dominican Republic, specialy in Puerto plata city and areas around.
